A quiet movement turning young Nigerians into environmental leaders.

TGAS Foundation started in one Abuja classroom in 2019. Six years later we are a network of teachers, students, agronomists, and volunteers planting the country’s next canopy.

Our mission

To grow greener communities across Nigeria through hands-on environmental education, school tree planting, and youth-led climate action. By aligning our local work with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, we empower the next generation to protect our environment and build a sustainable, liveable future.

Our vision

To inspire a nationwide movement where every school, home, and community actively nurtures its own green canopy, establishing a resilient and sustainable Nigeria for generations to come.

Our Core Value

Together, these principles guide our commitment to nurturing local ecosystems, empowering youth, and ensuring absolute transparency in every community we serve.

The impact so far, in plain numbers.

Every figure below is verified by our audit team and by the schools and communities we work
with. When we do not know a number, we say so.

From a small circle of believers to a nationwide movement.

Thalis Greenery Awareness and Support (TGAS) Foundation was founded to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable practices in Nigeria and beyond. Our journey began with a small group of passionate individuals who believed in the power of education and community engagement to drive positive change.

Over the years, we have grown into a nationwide movement with numerous successful projects and initiatives impacting thousands of lives. Our commitment to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals guides everything we do, and we continue to work towards a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

What we hold ourselves to.

With, not for

We do not arrive with a finished plan. Every programme is co-designed with the school, the community leader, or the household who will run it.

Radical transparency

Our books are audited every year.
We publish the results, the failures, and where every naira went, in plain language.

Evidence over ego

If a programme is not working we
say so, redesign it, and share the
lessons. Impact, not optics, drives
what we fund next.

Young people first

The next generation is not our
audience. They are our partners.
Every Green Club is designed to
hand leadership to students.

Meet Our Team

We bring together diverse skills, passion and experiences to
drive our mission forward and make a lasting impact on the
communities we serve
